Hello everyone, My mom owns a 2009 KK with 8xxx miles on it. I am getting ready to change her oil and O'Reilly has a deal on Royal Purple - 3 quarts with a K&N oil filter for 39.99. I am not sure how soon you can put synthetic and be safe. Thanks! |

your going to need a few more QT's as the KK holds 5 to 5.5... I started running a synblend in mine after 5000 miles |

You need 5 quarts including the filter. I started using Mobil 1 with Mobil 1 filter at 3000. I get 5 quarts and the filter for 29.99 at advanced auto or autozone usually and the dealer charges like 8 bucks labor |

anyone have the Mobil 1 oil filter part number? Purolator is the only one I can find at Pep Boys. Its the only one listed in the book for the KK. Im also going to try Mobil one 0w-20 fuel economy synthetic. |

I compared it to the Purolator and the threaded part was different. |

2008 and 2009 Filters have different threads. I think 09 is metric. |

Here is a thread with a lot of part numbers for oil filters courtesy of Mike08Liberty: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=45619. The thread size changed between 2008 and 2009 going to metric threads. |
