I faced this problem after done my car lift. this problem has nothing to do with you car lift or tyre size. all is nothing but when you lift your car on the KK you have to remove you battery in order to have access to the front shock mount.
once the battery is reconnected, the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) in the clockspring needs to be calibrated. The SAS requires calibration anytime the battery or an ABS (ESP) component has been disconnected for any length of time. If the SAS is not calibrated following battery reconnection, the ESP/BAS indicator lamp is illuminated following five ignition cycles indicating the need for calibration.
To do the calibration you don't need any fancy or expensive scanner, all you need to do is as follow;

1. Start the engine.
2. Center the steering wheel.
3. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left until the internal stop in the steering gear is met, then turn the wheel all the way to the right until the opposite internal stop in the steering gear is met.
4. Center the steering wheel.
5. Stop the engine.

That's the key we were missing in this thread, the speedo recalibration.

I'm pretty sure I read that some have had problems getting the dealer to recalibrate the speedo saying that the tire size isn't one of the options available but it is possible. The mechanic had to do some math I think but he got it. I checked it with my gps and it's pretty much dead nuts on.
I have no idea if he calibrated anything else but I wouldn't be surprised, he had my jeep for a couple hours checking stuff over, changing the oil and looking into the computer.

I went to the dealer. I'm pretty sure it takes a starscan(?). I don't think there's a private shop that's willing to pay for the software if they can even get it.

Ouch. I had no idea that was available. Does it receive regular updates from mopar?

You have to pay for those,about $600 a year and also have to pay for any programming updates you wish to apply to a vehicle and is a one time use unless you pay again and can range from $50 to over $150 per program per use and is VIN specific.That pay for programming is for like when you replace the ABS module,PCM,or any other computer that requires programming before it can be used.The yearly updates just add the next years vehicles so that it can access there OBDII system.

Man that's expensive. That explains why none of the shops around here have it. I guess that's one way to keep people going to the dealer.
