okay so when i was driving today i was fiddling with my scan guage and i put it on the intake air temp... i noticed while i was driving the temp was actually very cool which was good but when i was at a stand still i was experiencing heat soak. i have the brute force cold air intake which really isnt a true cold air. The reason being is there is no way to keep the under the hood air temp from getting into the intake... so here was my thought... it's been done before on a KJ i believe? i could be wrong i want ot modify/cut up the stock air box and make it air tight and install my AEM filter head within the box... thoughts/ suggestions?... i mean i could block off all the holes which would draw heat form the interior and i could even insulate the air box. |
