Dunno if i like it or not as its kinda loud but i like that it is inside and out of the elements. The mounting bracket is temporary to see if i liked it, we all know what temporary turns into, at least it isnt visible.

by OBA i meant On Board Air. It is a Viair 380C. Will run 100% duty cycle at 100psi or 55% at 200psi. Right now just have it to air up my tires but if/when i ever get this ARB in my closet installed itll be run off of this also. The whole setup will be less then an ARB compressor and still be able to reliably fill tires within, i think, a faster time.

Its a Viair 380C. Theyre mostly used for air ride suspensions in lowrider trucks and what not. After doing some research on em i found some people used em for OBA setups also. I bought the dual compressor kit new from a kid on craigslist that needed the money for cheaper then what you can get the single unit. Then i sold one of em online and made most of my money back. I still need a few things to run it to the ARB but ill worry about when the time comes. I also dont have an air tank but i dont really find it necessary to fill up tires. I would pry need a tank to reset a bead on a rim if one were to pop off, maybe if i can pick up a cheap one. Anyway, I have pry $75 into the compressor, pressure switch and fittings right now.

It's a nice spot, but I think you are going to end up melting plastic when that thing heats up....

Ya I was gonna keep an eye on that. I let it run for a while the other day to see how hot it would and it did get kinda hot but not that hot, I think. We shall see.

to solve the heat issue lay down insulation on the interior of the plastic... it will keep the heat centralized and if all all fails make a vent.... it'd be ridiculously easy

Good idea.
Cut vent slits in the cover, then put a 12v computer cooling fan attached over the slits on the inside.
Connect the fan to the power source used to power the pump. That way when the pump is on the fan is blowing.

good call on the fan scar... I've actually done something like this before... use the fan as an exhaust rather than a method of cooling

Idk if heat is gonna be a big issue or not really. The pump will be on temporarily to keep the locker engaged and less then 10 mintues to fill the tires. The cover will be removed when I'm airing the tires up to gain access for the hose so the heat won't be trapped to that little area. Like I said though, time will tell. Whenever I get this locker installed we will see if the noise irritates me. If its too loud or gets to hot ill move it to the engine compartment.
