Jack up both sides of your rear end to get both the tires off the ground and if there is still slack in the lines I don't see a need to replace them. |

You need to fully flex each side out, full compression and full extension and each side and check the brake lines at each(full compression and extension) end. |

I know this thread is pretty old but what amount of lift can you generally add before you need to change the break lines? I've read a few different amounts. When I finally get my lift purchased I plan on testing it, but it would be nice to know what to expect so I can change things out while I'm in there if need be |

This threes is pretty old. From what I can remember the originals are very short. I think you should ask marylin from jba. I think is 2" lift does not need them, but it's ask about the flex. When you flex is when you are going to ned them. Even my extended ones from marylin are just barely long enough. As I made my tie rods longer which have me lots more flex, thus allowing me to use more of the drop that marlins stuff can do. I would change them out now and not gaffe to worry about them. |

with a 2.0 or 2.5 lift in the rear, you should be ok if the track bar is installed. any more lift, and you risk ripping the lines. |

Are the stock front lines ok, or do they need to be swapped out as well? |

The OEM brake lines were fine on my early JBA "2.5" lift. Thanks to Digger, I've got JBA's longer rear brake lines on my JBA 4" lift. Have wheeled it a lot over the past 6 months since the JBA 4" lift and haven't had any issues with the longer brake lines (and there is no way the OEM rear brake lines could handle 4" lift at full drop). |
