A couple of weeks back, my son was driving my KK and the indicator on the dash that looks like a battery came on and stayed on. We ate dinner and when we went back to the Jeep, it would not start. Since I have the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty with roadside service, I called for a jumpstart. When it was jumpstarted, it started fine, and no warning lights on. However, as I was driving, a few blocks later, it seemed like every warning light on the dash kept going on and off and finally, the check engine light stayed on, as did the the battery/alternator light.

The next morning, the Jeep was dead again, so I got it started and drove it to the dealer.

The dealer told me that the alternator was bad, and while he had it on the rack, he noticed that the water pump was leaking, so he put a new water pump in also. I also had him do a transmission flush and filter change.

All was well, until about a day later, I noticed that the drivers side headlight kept going on and off. I reached in, and it was plugged in securley, so I drove over to the dealer, who insured me that they had not touched anything near the headlamp... but by that time, the headlamp was on.

I had just put in a new set of Sylvania headlamps about 3 or 4 months previous..

The drivers side headlamp kept going on and off at intermittent times. Finally, I went and bought another new bulb and put it in the drivers side a couple of days ago Everything seemed to be ok... until tonight..

My daughter is driving my KK.. and she calls me and it's about 1 AM in the morning and tells me that the low beam headlamps both went out. She says she switched from high to low, shut the car off/on again, high to low, nothing worked, just high beams.

What the heck is going on with the headlamps?

Guess I'll take it over and let them figure it out under warranty... seems strange that it would be just the drivers side going on/off intermittently, then both sides go out completely. I'm going to be pissed off if the low beams are working in the morning

well, wouldn't you know it, the low beams worked fine this morning and all day today. This can't be a good thing.

Try turning them on and checking them during the day when the dealership is open. If they don't work correctly then you could drive over and show them when it isn't working? Just an idea. Keep us updated I would like to know what they say it is. I have also been through the headache of "cannot duplicate the problem" with other things on my KK.
