Yes.

As I stated in previous posts, mine sounded like someone was blowing a rape whistle in the Jeep if I was on the highway. Now it just sounds like a wind rustling noise over a canvas top like it should.

Just did this to my KK. IT WORKED!!! WAHOOO!! :pepper:
I couldnt be happier. I only did the front because I got too thick of weather striping and it wouldnt stay on in the back when I closed it. Also, you really need to clean it with rubbing alcohol before you put it on or else it just doesnt stick.

You just need to lift the jeep more so people can't see it.

I did this and it cause the front of the skyslider to pop off the track and break the cable for closing it.

The only good fix would be a wind deflector for the front.

If anyone knows of where I could get one made, please post here. I am willing to shell out big bucks!!

Just my $0.02, but you didn't really need 3 posts in 3 different threads for this...

If you read much of the wind deflector thread, you'll find that none of us have found an aftermarket wind deflector. If you do, please post it up for the rest of us.

It's interesting that this cause the front of your sky slider to pop off the track? I've been running mine like this all winter and... not a single problem at all.

It's been quiet as can be, I've opened and closed it multiple times, and absolutely have had zero problem.

Can you post a few pictures? To be honest, if you and I are using the same product, I do not see HOW in the world it could pop the top off the tracks - CAN the top even pop off the tracks? Gotta say I'm confused...

I've had mine done for 8+ months with no problem. I have a hard time believing that a thin piece of weatherstripping could cause the top to go off the track. I remember another post of a woman having that happen to her skyslider after having "fixes" done to it at a dealership. It might have been on Jeepforum though. There is also someone I bought a pieced together wind deflector from over there as well. He makes them sparingly in his spare time. Unforunately, I couldn't get it to stick to the roof and it cracked while trying to take it off. I would go to jeepforum and do a search for Skyslider fix. I think it is all in the same thread. That is also where I found the weatherstripping fix.

Good luck, but I would definitely look at what was done at the dealership as opposed to the weatherstripping. They were probably blaming the thin piece of rubber so they would not have to pay to fix their mistake.

Dez
