Hey all! I'm a newbie here..just bought my first Liberty..2011 KK. I'm totally new to the Liberty thing, have only had Wranglers soo I'm still getting all my info together :)

I bought my KK with a 2 in. lift already installed by the dealer (probably my first mistake...what can I say, she caught my eye). I have now had it back to the shop that built it 3 times for some tire rubbing...so my question is...what is a good resource for lifts over 2 inches for the 2011?? I am having a really hard time finding any accessories..but especially some bigger lifts, because downsizing just isnt an option.

Any helpful hints are appreciated!

Kim

Stock rims?
What size tires?
Where is it rubbing?

Running P265/65R17's, rubbing has gotten a little better after some shaving of the fender, mainly rubbing on the drivers side. I pretty much planned on throwing a bigger lift on it after I bought it..just having a hard time finding anything.

do you know what kind of lift you have? or can you take pics of it?

265 is a bit too wide for the offset of the stock rims, maybe if you tried some wheel spacers it could help.

Oh and I'm sorry, no they are not the stock rims. Not sure of the brand of lift..guess I should have just gone the route I usually do and put everything on after buying, then at least I'd know what the heck I have! haha

I'm pretty sure JBA's (JeepinByAl) 4" Kit is the biggest kit out there that doesn't require you to make custom parts.
That should allow you to run 32"s, assuming you get negative offset wheels or something along those lines to deal with rubbing.
I'm not sure, but I'd think if you did a JBA 4" you'd be safe with stock wheels and no spacers if you get some 245 32" tires, instead of the normal 265 32" tires. Also depends on the type of tire you get.

Get some 245 32 inch tires instead of the normal 265 32 inch tires ???

Confused to say the least :ROTFL:

okay 265-65 on a 17 inch wheel is the same as a 265-70 on a 16 inch wheel... here the thing... if your offset is the same as the OEM rims your gunna experience rub becasue a 265 is wider than a 245. you have a 31 inch wheel at 265-65-17( really only 30.6) but if you did a 245-70-17( also 30.6) you also have a 31 inch wheel. the difference you ask? your height is the same but the tire width is not, thus eliminating some rub. If you wanted to go even taller which i dont suggest if you already have rubbing issues with your wheel/tire combo you could try a 235-75 which is considered a real 31" wheel.... give me specs on the light type and what wheels you have and i'll work out your best combo

Any 4 inch + lift is going to require a little custom work....In that I mean cutting and re flaring the brake lines.

I don't necessarily need a 4 inch lift, just something over the 2 I already have..anyone have any experience with the 3.5 Rock Krawler?

Everyone says the rk lift is acually 2.5-3". You could add a 3/8" plate on top of your struts and do a clevis lift in the front and get about 15/16" of extra lift in the front. For the rear add some extra spring isolators.
