I decided not install my Rock Krawler Kit, still put on my new Falken Rocky Mountain A/T tires with 16x8 soft 8's. Really happy with the way it looks. Probably black out t/lamps & 3rd brake light this weekend.

Wheels & tires are on, I'll get some pics up when I have time to read about posting pics.

I was originally going to have one of my techs at the body shop I work at install the lift. Unfortunately we had a brand new KJ Mountain occupying the lift with the front axle at a sublet shop. So I started calling different shops that are specifically lift experts. Talked to this guy in Chicago really knew his stuff and sent him the website for the rock krawler x factor lift and he said he wouldn't recommend for a bunch of reasons. If you search on this site you'll find all of them. But he did recommend terra flex budget lift, so i'm in the process of selling/returning my rock krawler and will purchase the terra.

Good looking setup. Never seen racks installed that way. So why does this "lift expert" think a terra flex ott lift is better than the rk lift?

He said that anything that is installed to the strut like that is going to run you into suspension trouble sooner than later. From what I remember the rock krawler front yolke extends the strut to lift, the terra flex is just two plates that are mounted to the strut tower. So no suspension mods are made, it's a body lift. Between this guy and all the info I've read on this site, I think I'll play it safe. Anyone can argue either way but my Liberty is new and I don't want to take any chances, especially when it means I have to spend money!

When you install the rack this way, in my opinion, less noise from wind.

Don't think mounting my kayaks that way would help with noise :ROTFL: BTW, those Falkens look great :JEEPIN:
