I have my 60k maintenance coming up and was planning on going fully synthetic for my fluids. Will Synthetic ATF run okay in the Liberty? I don't want it to pop out of gear when I'm driving or anything. Would I better off going non-synthetic for any of these? I'm looking for better drive-ability + possibly increased mpg. Also it has only had conventional oil for the t-case and transmission for the previous 60k miles, with synthetic/conventional blended for the motor oil for about 10k of those. |

Why would synthetic cause it to "pop out of gear"? I ran Mobil 1 synthetic for my oil from day one and when every anything else is needed, ATF or Rear End I always use Mobil 1. Synthetic won't hurt anything. Although if you have 60K and have never used synthetic oil in your engine your better off starting to use mobile 1 high mileage oil instead of standard synthetic. http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/Mot ... leage.aspx Also if your going to be switching your oil to something better then conventional oil make sure you getting a better then basic oil filter. Mobil 1 makes a very good high quality filter for our engine. M1-209 is the Mobil1 oil filter MO105 is the basic Mobil oil filter http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/Mot ... lters.aspx |

All ATF+4 spec fluid is full synthetic. Both the trans and t case take ATF+4 |

I didn't really know what he was talking about so I just wanted to make sure. |
