Hey I was wondering if you guys had any links or how to's on removing all of the interior. Paneling, Seats, Lights. I have recently come to the decision that my tastes have changed from the original dark gray and everything's getting a little bit too dirty. So i'm changing it black. Everything. So I need some advice on how to go about removing all the plastics and what paint/cleaners/methods you reccommend. I'm gonna work my way from front to back hopefully. I have a second car to use while everything is in process (I'm aware there's gonna be some drying time/probably not gonna be done in one or even two days) And enough friends enthusiastic enough about the project to help. So any tips you guys could point my way would be appreciated. |

Holy crap, that sounds like a little more than a project. Dont blame you though, i wouldnt want a grey interior either. A buddy of mine wants to fiberglass his trailblazer's interior, but not sure if this is the direction you would want to go. http://m.youtube.com/watch?desktop_uri= ... fM7o&gl=US |

I've been thinking of taking some pieces of the interior out and having them wrapped in leather *also thinking about doing the seats in leather*. From what I can tell and have personally taken off, a lot of the peices just seem to be held in by clips. The door panels have 2 screws holding them along with the clips. Dash I don't know about, but honestly, it doesn't look like it would be hard to take it apart. Also, if you are interested I have OEM grey upholstery that i'm looking to sell. Front and back. |

That's great news about the clips. That way I can just gut the plastic and still drive around like that while it dries. I found a vinyl dye spray paint that some mustang guys used on their dash's. (they like to add the flashy bright colors) and there's also just upholstery paint that I can also use. Hardest part is gonna be cleaning the whole darn thing. |
