Some good spotting and driving will suprise you. Depends on if your jeep came with skids too. |

All Renegades come with skids. As far as stock goes, no rock crawling, and no deep mud. Dry-ish trails with steep climbs are fine as long as there aren't too many ditches or holes to put your tires into. Water fording up to the bumper is fine. Pick good lines and you should be fine. Ps, good AT tires work miracles, but you lose on-road comfort usually. 6 of the one, 1/2 dozen of the other. |

Nothing beats first hand testimonies on the capabilities of stock off roading but these are kinda interesting to watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKq56Z0lzE4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AflOVw8NAgY If you are not looking to lift the KK, I still recomend a set of skid plates and a set of good AT tires to start with. If you are not sure if you have the skids, look underneath for what appears to be sheets of metal covering the bottom of the gas tank, transmission, engine area, etc. If you are still not sure, drop by a dealer and ask them. Welcome to the forum and keep asking the Q's ![]() |

thanks guys....i thinks its pretty much common sense then. I dont plan on jumping off a cliff and expecting promising results. Im just glad my chances of having to call AAA again this winter are slim to none. |

I took my libby off road more stock than i have after the mods ![]() As for the winter, as far as i am concerned the stock tires are TRASH in the snow. I spun tires more times than i care to admit. |

The dealer put new tires on b4 purchase and I know they are not stock. A lil more beefy so hopefully I'll be pleased |

Skids are a must. Also, if there is say a rock that you have to ho over, try and take it on with the driver side. The muffler is a huge target on the passenger side. |
