I'm looking to get slush type mats for the KK before winter comes. I've never bothered with them in any of my other vehicles so I don't really know anything about any of them. I've done a lot of searching on this forum and other forums and it seems like everyone has their preference but the only reason given is something along the lines of "they're the best!"

So I would like to know, which one do you prefer and why?

I havent had or even seen the weathertechs, so i cant really yah or nah them. I do know they are expensive though. I have run the husky liners on two vehicles and love them. In the winter time i empty about a 1/4 inch of water out of them once a week. Imagine all that water going into your carpet- mildew fest. I also like the diamond plate design on them. My carpet under them still looks brand new. I'll post some pics of them tomorrow.

I work construction as a field supervisor so I'm in and out of my truck in mud, sand and dirt so I use the weathertechs and my interior appreciates it. Spend the extra cash. You will not be disappointed. I also have a 3 year old and it's super nice not to have to freak out whenever he spills a cup of juice.

WeatherTechs all the way! I thought I had a water leak last winter in my liberty, it turned out to be about 2 inches of water sloshing around in my passenger side floor mat! :ROTFL:

They look pretty good. Have they warped at all? It looks like they're pulling away from the door sill a little.

Mine came with the mopar slush mats... They don't work very well as far as keeping melted snow/salt off of the carpet at all but for the other seasons they are nice to have (or if you live somewhere without snow).

Stay away from the Mopar if you live near snow.
I have the Weather Techs for my KJ. I like them better than the Husky's for the KJ.
They are much thicker, stiffer and I think overall much nicer.

Can't speak exactly about the KK.

I had the same problem. I don't think it's a foot dragging problem as much as a defect. I just returned my second set and ordered the weathertechs. The step looking bend along the right side of the driver's side was the same also. Both sets did it. They fit perfectly when I installed them. I had a set of these in my truck a few years ago and loved them, they lasted the five years I had it and were almost new looking when I got rid of it. If they're not over a year old they'll exchange them for new ones if it bothers you. I went through two sets in about six months. This is a great company with an awsome product but I think something went wrong with the fit on this model.

Huskys suck. They're warped NIB. They slide forward Under the pedals constantly. And they not terribly tough/ resistant to boots. Once this set completely wears out I'm going with WeatherTech next time. I give them a 3/10

I have the weathertechs. They are 1 year old and pulled the fronts out the other day to do my PRE winter cleaning and they are as bendable as they were when I got'em. They are not beat up and I don't use floor mates on the driver side. I had those think JEEP rubber slush mats. After mine slide under the gas peddle a couple of times, well you can guess what happened. I took it out. You can't hook anything else on the floor hook once you put these things in. But I also put the full one in the passenger (rear) area and it really protects everything. they are worth the money. I also got the front bug/wind deflector and the side window vents from weathertech also. Worth every penny.

I have the tan weathertechs to match my interior and wouldnt have anything else. They fit perfectly, clip on the hook so they dont slide and actually look like they belong in the KK. :SOMBRERO:

Go Weathertech if you can afford them. Definately a good Matt. I have the MOPARS which work great here in Phoenix but I can see that they would do little if in a snowy environment.

I second Stay away from Facotry Liner...

I have them and like them, BUT I do not live near snow.
we got them for the look...

The function for dry weather is nice and that is where it ends.

These suck for Water, snowy, muddy, and or dustly conditions.

Yes they do. I like how they catch most if not all of the dirt from falling between the mat and the door runner. It's like they were molded to fit. Oh wait, they were.

I have the Mopar ones front and back and honestly they are perfectly fine in the snow.

what exactly is the difference between the husky and weathertech?

my huskies work well, but i am noticing the driver side keeps getting pushed up about an inch. not bad, and not far enough to cause pedal trouble, but enough to make me notice and try to push them back every time i get in the car obsessively!

my 2nd row husky liners are AWESOME. i dont see how a liner in the second row could possibly be better unless is actually went up and over the door sill.

Post subject:  Re: Weather Tech, Husky Liner, or MOPAR?

I had husky liner in my XJ and have them on my KK now. I had weather-tech in my ford ranger. Most of the weather-tech mats have a part that extends over the door sill to prevent water and snow from going under the mat (not sure about the KK one). Other than that and the obvious cosmetic differences, I noticed the weather tech mats to be a bit more porous, pliable and rubber like than the husky liners. This softer material on weather tech seems to mold to the vehicle better, but tends to hold onto dirt more than the stiffer husky liner material. This may not be the case with all models, but since it was my experience I switched back to husky for my KK.

I have front, rear and cargo Husky mats and haven't had any issues.

In my 08 I had the Jeep Slush mats in the front and read and Husky in the cargo. The Jeep mats look better but the Husky mats hold dirt and water better which is why I got all Husky mats in my new 11.
