I have a 2008 KK Sport AT with Command Trac 4x4 with 40K miles on it. Just been driving in 2WD all summer/early fall long with no need for 4WD. While driving, I get an alarm chime then stability control light on, then 4WD light, SERV 4WD and 4LOW lights on.

They sometimes go off on their own. Other times, when I restart the vehicle OK - then miles down the road, we start playing the game again. I have an appointment on Monday at Dealer. I suspect that it mighte be a faulty transfer case control module. This vehicle has the lifetime powertrain warranty so I would think that this issue should be covered IF it is transfer case control module. Anyone else have this issue or thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

Nick

I'd get it to a dealership ASAP.

I have the same year and model and the same problem. The dealer said low voltage from the battery and charged me for a new battery. It stopped for 2 days and back to the same old thing.....let me know how things work out for you. :frankie:

Possible encoder motor failure. Mine failed on my 08.

Can anyone answer if this "item" is covered under the lifetime warranty? My 09 has 56k and to this date (knock knock), have had not engine/drivetrain issues but have to wonder, when these things start approaching years or high miles, what will they balk at covering or what will they fix? I just bought a 2011 Town and Country and some know the brake problems with earlier models but Chrysler send me a notice that my brakes are covered now for 3 years/36k miles. Rotors, pads, everything with a 50.00 deductable at 2/24 and 100.00 at 3/36. My KK still has orig brakes even with all the offroading and city driving I've done. (again, knock knock on wood).
