So after wheeling for the first time this weekend, I can already tell I will need and want a lift. From everything I've read on the forums, it seems most people are running 2 to 2 and a half inches. Since this seems like the most cost effective route and my current needs don't really seem like 4inches would be necessary, I'm wondering what all is recommended as an optimal build for the lift. Looking at the build your own lift kit -
http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-2_5__Lift_Sp ... K-609.aspxI would definitely be going for the added UCA's and addt'l rear springs. But should I worry about the nitro gas shocks vs the hydro shocks? I'm not really sure on the difference. As well, do I need quick disconnects? Also wondering if I'll need to extend bump stops and a host of other things I'm really just unsure of. The only other concern I would have is say after finally getting steel bumpers and other weight adding accessories, I'm sure the need will be there to go up to 4 inches of lift. Can the 2.5inch adjust a strut from JBA support 4inches with maybe a spring replacement, or would this be a case of having to basically re-buy the struts in addition to new rear shocks / springs, track bar, etc?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
