So the other day my mom told me to make a list of what I want and she will pick and choose from it. There was only 1 condition, each part has to be under $500 dollars. She already said rims and tires are out, and I don't want to void the warranty on a 3 month old truck, so I need some suggestions. Its a 2011 Sport 4x4 with a skyslider. I'm thinking about a bull bar, but I'm not sure. And I don't know whether to go chrome or black since the truck is the candy red pearl. If I go with chrome, I would most likely replace the sport trim and get the Limited's chrome trim eventually. Not really sure what else besides skids, tow hooks, hitch, and sliders but idk what brand. |

I've heard this rule a while back with my first Jeep, NEVER put chrome on a Jeep |

My windows are already tinted, that happened within the 1st 12 hours of owning the truck lol. Unless you're talking about tinting the lights. The mats are a good idea, I'll add them to the list. Anyone have suggestions on rock sliders, etc? |

Protection in the form of skids and recovery ( tow hooks, tow strap etc) is always better than some cheap chrome crap that will rust and fall off in a few years Chrome don't get ya home |

Well, its already arrived in some places. ![]() Jimmy, definitely get some mats, worth the money, I know you have a black interior, but with the snow we're gonna get you'll be thankful. Whenever I get in and out of my truck during a snow storm, there's always a puddle of water in my WeatherTech liners. I can only imagine how much water would be in the carpet by now.. Thats the practical gift, lol. Definitely some hooks and a hitch. Although you can find hooks every now and then for cheap. I'd say sliders, but no offense, I think it will be a while before you take it offroad, lol. What you do is convince you're parents on some awesome mod, then AFTER it's already purchased, you tell them that you should get some liners, because they are very good for the trucks future, lol. You have to learn how to play the game! (And it makes you look good, lol) Orrrr, just go for the JBA 6" lift.. You might as well do it now while you know you can get that lower clevis bolt out, haha. |

Yeah, don't wanna have John's problem lol. That would void my warranty though )= I'm definitely trying to get the hitch and tow hooks, working on skids, I think Rachael would sell me hers. Then I would need the straps. I know it'll be a few months before I actually wheel it, but it would be nice to have (especially when it won't cost me a thing). I'm still thinking a bull bar, it'l look good and give me a way to mount lights without the jk light bar. Or maybe even a brush gaurd, idk. |

Hooks and hitch are great for the winter, dont want to get stuck without a way to be pulled out.. plus that strap helps.. I'm sure Rachael will give you a good price. If you get the bull bar, I'm almost 100% sure that you cant have front hooks. They use the same mounting holes. It might be possible to modify it to work with both. |

black and blue wrote: couldnt you put a strap on the bull bar if you need to be pulled out? The bull bar isn't made of anything strong. You would probably end up breaking it. (I'm going from what I've heard here.) |

Idk either, I hear different things. I think someone here had a bull bar, not sure. I'll have to see if they mount to the tow hook mounts. Even if they do once I see how it mounts tow hooks might still fit. |

black and blue wrote: couldnt you put a strap on the bull bar if you need to be pulled out? You would pull it right off without even trying They are made from very thin metal, think thinner that exhaust tubing, bent easy, rust easy and are junk, way better ways to waste money for sure! ![]() |

Doolop wrote: Look at getting a RL bumper or an arb takes a hit and keeps on ticking Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk Links? lol tommudd, my dad keeps thinking a brushgaurd would hold up pretty well, I think that if I get the right brand it might hold up. Chrome is out, but stainless? That won't rust and has the look of chrome, or just black. Not sure |

The ones you can get are again very thin and will actually cost you more money if you are ever hit or you hit something |

I'll stick my 2cents in for weather tech. Got a bug guard (not been fourwheeling since it was installed but I'm not known for running over tree's, through barns or large harry pizzed off animals), sluch mats, floor guards (don't put a slush mat on the driver side unless you want it to slide forward and cause your accelerator to get stuck.. ![]() |

Don't waste your money on a brush guard. My dad installed one on mine, and every time i went offroad the thing got bent, twisted, smashed or broken. They're a complete waste of money. The only thing it was good for is that it acted like a stinger and i could tell where the front end was at all times. |
