Hi guys!!!! This is by far the easiest mod and by far one of the most useful (I think) there is:
This mod consists on swapping all of your bulbs INSIDE your KK from filament bulbs to LED bulbs... the results are quite amazing.... here's what youll need:
I bought my LEDs from http://autolumination.com/ and here's a little description on which bulbs youll need for each aplication:

2x 4 - STAR SMT for the license plate (look for them at almost the bottom of the page)
http://autolumination.com/194.htm

2x 921 matrix LED bulb (9led lens) for the foot wells
http://autolumination.com/906.htm

3 x festoon bulb 44mm Overhead console and CARGO AREA
http://autolumination.com/festoon.htm

2x 194 SMT tower LED for the reading light (back passengers)
http://autolumination.com/194.htm

you will also need a flat head screwdriver to pop all the lens caps out.....again.. ITS A VERY EASY PROCEDURE... just like replacing a blown bulb (no wire cutting, no soldering just swapping)
ok here it goes

1.- first and second pic: comparison of the STOCK bulb VS LED bulb Lic. Plates:
Image
Image

2.- the next two pics are how the interior of the KK looks with stock lights.. NO FLASH on the camera WAS USED: (sorry for the quality but I had a hard time taking a photo without a tripod and without flash)
Image
Image

3.- Next pics show the led lights installed: (first LEDS, next Overhead console with LEDS and finally stock bulbs on the overhead console... see the difference?)
Image

4.- and light from the cargo area:
Image

5.- and finally from the footwells:
Image

Last pic is a comparison of a stock bulb and a LED bulb... notice how they are identical?
Image

Again this is the easiest mod I have ever done....took me about 10 mins to do the entire install please have these things in mind when doing this mod:

Careful! BULBS ARE HOT.... be sure to turn your interior lights off before working with stock bulbs... but I guess you already knew that.

Be extra carefull when removing the lens off the lights.... you could break them if you dont handle them carefully!

See those metalic shields from last pic? Those came off the overhead center console... you dont need to reapply them when you install a LED light!

There is a lens on the footwells that will eventually get burned over a certain period of time thanks to the heat generated by stock bulbs... you can prevent fading/melting of this and other lenses if you change the bulbs!

I guess thats it... if you want to do it DO IT!!! its easier than it looks...all of these LEDS are SUPER WHITE and pictures DONT DO THEM JUSTICE... these are NOT blue... though the camera seems to interpret super white as blue...
Also YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY COLOR YOU MIGHT WANT!!! Imagine a black KK with red lights!!! OMG! =)
If you do this mod please post pics of it in here!!!
if you have any questions i would be happy to answer them
best regards!

this is one I willl likely do.

Need to add footwell lights to a 08KK Sport though... can't be too hard?

My moms Honda Accord has a single amber LED between the two map lights in the front seat that kind of put a nice glow on center console area when driving but its not anywhere close to being a distraction or even noticable till you look down at the gear shift area. Gotta try and figure out a way to get one of thsoe in here too.

As long as you get the correct bulb part numbers, it will work in any vehicle. :D

Just a tip...

Make sure to wear some powder-free latex or nitrile gloves when handling bulbs. The natural oils on your skin will lead to premature failure of the bulb.

Its really easy:
if your KK has illuminated footwells you will need
2 for the footwells
2 for the front overhead console
2 for the rear passenger (1 each side)
and 1 for the cargo area
;)

That's what I was thinking. Halogen bulbs burn really hot and any oils on your fingers will cause the glass to break very easily. LEDs though burn very cool, so no issue.

I'm curious if using LEDs rather than conventional bulbs would save in the amount of energy being drawn off the system? My knowledge of electricity is basic at best, but I know here we're constantly being told to switch to LEDs as they save electricity. I assume there would be a similar (albeit small) savings in replacing the lights in my Liberty?

Lastly, seeing as I'm wandering all over the place, I don't believe the list of Sylvania bulbs that rt_power posted are LEDs. They appear to be halogen bulbs, or at least some/most are. Not to say they won't work, or be brighter than stock, but they're not LEDs.
