Does any one else have this problem? Every time I fill the KK up when the pump shuts off fuel over flows out of the fill port and down the side of my Jeep. Got any ideas? |

there is a TSB for it, but most dealers are a pain. mine does it as well and dealers around here would not replace |

So other people have this issue too? Wow. I thought it was just me or the 10% ethanol laced gas sold around here not tripping the back-pressure sensor. |

This has been an issue since the KJ, you'd think they'd figure it out by now. |

infernicus wrote: This has been an issue since the KJ, you'd think they'd figure it out by now. It's a gas issue that swells up parts in the system when exposed to high % of ethanol. |

Well it sucks!!!! Whatever it is. I feel like I should be sending Jeep a bill for 5% of all my gas purchases now that I now it's happening to a lot of us. |

This has been happening to me for about 6 months now. I go down to a quarter of a tank and then throw 40-50 in for a full tank. Stealership told me it was only a TSB for a Wrangler not my year Liberty. |

Took my liberty in for this problem to the jeep dealer ad they said it was a common problem with the 08... they replaced the gas tank. Sent from my AT100 using Tapatalk |

Replaced the tank?! How long ago was that? I bought mine used and I don't really feel like paying for the repair if it's not considered warranty. |

I buy from Sunoco as much as possible and haven't had this issue with my old 2006 KJ or the new hotness 2011 KK. IDK if the brand makes a difference . . . . less ethanol? "Contains up to 10% ethanol" |

i only have one solution for all you gentle man... before you fill up... sit at the gas station for 60 minutes with the truck idling then fill up... seems to work most of the time for me |

Didn't work for me.It has overflowed from day number one for me. I usually just fill up at half a tank and just put in ten.5 gallons. |

When I know its almost full, I let it settle for a few seconds and then trickle in the rest. Otherwise there is a mess to clean up on the side of the Jeep. This is a fairly recent developement for me. I bought the Jeep new in early 08 and no problem until tail end of last year.

Wow reading all this I don't want to jinx myself but I didn't have this issue on my 08 and still no issues on my 11. My suggestion is everyone with this issue call and/or email Jeep Customer Assistance, maybe if enough people complain about it they might issue a fix/recall. http://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/jeep/index.jsp |
