Hi,
i want to ask if someone have experience with the stock tyre GY Wrangler SR/A. They are loud as hell, and only nice sound at 80 mph, but difficult to drive this speed in town or all the time  . First i expect that the driver wheel hub was damaged cause of buying my KK as a accident car, so i change it, but the sound is still the same and terrible loud at 30-80 mph. Are these tyres really this kind of crap or is there something more on my KK which could be damaged? I check and adjust also the alignment of the wheels at the dealer.. no issue there. Please post, if someone have same problems with original GY Tyre on his KK.
Greetz @ all

Quiet and no traction are these tires. Probably not your sound unless the accident bent your steel belts inside the tire or your wheel?

Hi, no.. there isnt any damage on the tyre, and sound seems to come from all 4. They are from 2008 and they run for 15000 miles now. Maybe they getting harder over time? I dont know.

Check to see how the tires have worn out (inner/outer tire wear). Possible bad camber or alignment and just the pattern in which they have worn out, causing the noise.

I've had mine since getting the KK new in April 2011. They are quiet and I have had no issues. I just had them rotated/balanced yesterday and they are wearing evenly and very well with the mileage I put on the Jeep. I just hit 18,000 miles after coming back from a weekend getaway Monday.

You need to do some more diagnostics, it may just sound like it is coming from all 4 tires, after an accident you may have drive line problems. :JEEPIN:

I check and adjust the wheel alignment at the dealer, everything ist fine. It would be the best to change the tyres, and check every other possibility, if the noise are still ongoing. I will post news, if its done.

I just bought a 2012 Arctic. It has the sr-a tires. They are noisy. Cause I test drove a regular sport with the 225 tires and was much quieter. I wasn't sure what it was at first but finally figured it to be the good years. These are the all terrain version. I guess they make two different ones. I'm use to tire hum so really doesn't bother me but they definitely do make some noise.

The stock tires are junk in my opinion...
