You could get a scan tool from a local auto parts store, some will rent them to you and some will even give them to you for free to use in the parking lot, and the next time it comes on run a diagnostic and see what error codes come up. Write down the error code and check it on google to see what the error means.
You can also use this for reference on error codes but google can pull more details on the codes and possible fixes.
