Being stationed in Germany and lifting a Liberty can be a not so great idea I have learned from experience. I lifted my Jeep a few months ago and am finally noticing horrible tire wear. This gives me an excuse to buy bigger and better tires. However, Those will inevitably need to be aligned BEFORE I get the new ones to avoid throwing cash away. Here's my question: Has anybody done an alignment on the KK's themselves? A buddy of mine is a mechanic for the military so he know the basics of it all. I just need to be able to relay this message to him so we can just do it ourselves instead of me running all over Germany looking for an alignment shop. He said he saw somewhere that there is an adjusting bolt on the Lower Control Arms? Does anybody know of this? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Yes you adjust everything from the lower control arms, you can see them if you look at the rear part of the control arm at the pivot point.
Its not easy to "do it yourself" without an alignment rack etc

Tommud: Thank you very much for the help. Would you be able to see the adjustment points with the tire on the ground? There is a garage on base that has everything we need to DIY, I just lack the know-how and my buddy just needs exactly that information.

There is some kind of hillbilly tape measure method to do it, but i wouldn't even try. I'm sure its not accurate and will most likely leave you in a bigger mess than you're in now. Just pay to have it done again and ask for a printout of the adjustments.

You need a alignment rack,no way around it on a Liberty since the camber and caster are both set from adjusting the front LCA cam bolts.

Texasrugby911 I went from 225 75 16 tires to 245 70 16 tires......(not a big change) and needed an alignment. You lifted your rig 2+?, pay Heimi to alignzi zi wheelzis , save you some euros in the long run brother, if you can, go to a dealer ( I know) or a shop that is recommended by someone you trust.
