I'm well aware that the KK stock headlights are awful. So my next project after I get my refund back was to replace the headlights. I end up driving back from class at night and its really dark around where I go to school if I go the back way. And by dark I mean no street lights at all. Anyway, does it make sense to get like 6k HID's (I hate that blue color that some guys have which are like 9k). I basically want to just get as much light as possible from the headlights without spending a crazy ton of money. I found a site that sells the Sylvania bulbs for 30 a piece. So its either $60 for 2 regular halogens or like $100-$150 for HID's. What do you guys think? |

I have the SilverStar Ultra's, which are whiter/brighter than the regular SilverStars and they made a big improvement over the stock bulbs. My son went and got a set for his JK when he saw the difference. |

I had both, I like my HIDs better, slight tint of blue but makes the road bright white. just make sure you get the ones that you can use your brights with. every time i go to use my brights my lights turn off ![]() |

I like my HID's as well. I have ran silver stars, and they were not bad, but the HID's kick butt |

Check out the Philips X-Treme Power lights if you are just concerned about light output. They are definitely the best set of headlights I've used and they light up the road great even without the high beams. |

I had no idea they made HID's that don't have a high beam. Any particular HID kit I should look into? And thanks Digger for that pic lol. Instead of buying a new light kit I'm just gonna have u drive in front of me and light up the whole street. ![]() |

I had Sylvania's in my 08 and now I also have them in my 11. I've been very happy with them and they are a big improvement over factory. |

I just replaced my old ultra silver stars with a set from Hella (H13 9008 60/55W)(H83135362), they're actually brighter than the silverstar ultras were new. I was surprised. Hey digger, you got an hid secret? ![]() |
