Ok I finally finished this and found the dimmer switch wire. It is orange w/ a brown stripe, however, the only place to find it is connected to the 4wd switch to under the shifter.

I'm going to mount my switch box (Currently in the process of making) below the compass so you cant see that ugly wire.

Its a S-53 Ritchie Navigation Explorer Compass 2 3/4-Inch Dial with Surface Mount (Black)

It lights up green w/ a rinky dink bulb below the bezel. I think I'm gonna replace it w/ a nicer white LED so you can actually read the face easier at night. Otherwise it works great. Definetly glad I grabbed a marine compass because the vibration from my tires would drive a cheapy compass crazy.

Looks good. I was wondering what you needed the dimmer for. Does that block the vents on the top of the dash at all?

Not rly actually, Its set forward a bit because of the windshield so I blocks like 3/4 inch of the vent but it doesn't rly affect it. Actually the night I mounted it, it was rly foggy and they worked fine.
