Hi all,
I am thinking of permanently mounting my Scangauge II somewhere in the dash. There's not a ton of free space on the dash to work with, but ideally I would like to have it flush with the surface of the dash so it looks stock. Then the cable can be tucked out of the way behind the dashboard.
Has anyone tried this or have any suggestions of where to mount it?
I was thinking of installing my Scangauge in back of the cubby above the radio and heater ducts (see Digger's post about center console removal and scroll down to the third picture to see what I mean-- his jackknife and Sirius radio are in that space:

For those brave souls who have taken apart their dashboards (Digger et al.), is there any usable space behind that cubby to sink switches or a Scangauge so that they're flush with the back of the cubby? If there's no space back there, I'd like to know that before I tear into the dash.
Thanks for helping me out!
