Post subject: | Best way to get transmission temp? |
Hi all, I have a transmission temperature gauge awaiting installation. What I'm currently trying to figure out are the small details, but rather important ones. If I splice a "T" fitting into the line, what size barbed fitting should I get? Ie: what is the inner diameter of the rubber hose? I want to make sure I don't starve the cooler by splicing in a temperature sender (That would be ironic, huh?). Alternately, I have thought about using one of these http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=ACUTEMP_ADAPTER Does anyone have experience with this? It looks like I could get it closer to the transmission for a better reading, but is the "heat-sink" style very accurate? Anything you all have would be appreciated, thanks! |

On the Kj If I remember right it is 3/8, when I added the aux cooler, not sure on the KK. But I bet it is the same. |

Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure on the size, but I thought it was 3/8. Anyone have any input on the heatsink style? |
