Hi y'all!

I installed a rocky road lift/leveling kit (just risers and or bushings on all 4 wheels) and am about to install OME medium duty springs and shocks. Just wondering if anyone can warn me ahead of time if the two might be incompatible? I am worried that the stiff springs might sit taller and in combination with the leveling kit raise the stance too much? As it is the wimpy stock springs are bottoming out over bumps when fully loaded for camping, very annoying.

Advice is always appreciated, thanks~

when you put the new springs in you will also need new shocks and struts, do not use the spacers with the OME springs... only wear it out faster and probably cause problems for you

DO NOT use the RRO leving kit combined with the OMEs
Instead do it right use OME 927s in front,
also like mentioned you'll need to replace the front shocks as well if not already done so
what do you have in the rear ? Anything ?

The RRO lift leveling kit included steel spacers for the front, and thinner urethane bushings for the rear, that's what's currently installed.

However now I'm concerned that the OME springs and shocks alone aren't going to lift the truck as high as it currently sits, and my 32" bfg's will start rubbing. It was a tight squeeze to make them work as it is, mainly in the front it required some grinding.

Here's the stuff waiting to be installed:

OME 2927 KJ FRONT HEAVY DUTY COIL SPRINGS 1 NS131 FRONT HD JEEP LIBERTY 2 COIL SPRING CHEROKEE KK -R- OLD MAN EMU COILS 1 SPRINGS 2731
N132 LIBERTY/KJ REAR SHOCK

That was right off the quote emailed to me from Sierra Expeditions.

if it does rub with that install a clevis spacer and anf top plate for the strut for the front and add 2 extra isos to each side of the rear

Do you have any pictures of your setup?

I have some random pics of the truck but none specifically of the lift/level kit or close ups of the suspension.

Currently the truck is on te lift at Sierra Expeditions. The guys there said that it would be okay to run the OME springs and shocks together with the RRO spacers to increase the lift a bit more, I will just need a different set of shocks that the OME standard length for the rear. Does that sound about right?

Also I don't do heavy off road, just light trails mostly but my bigger concern was how much sagging was occurring under heavy loads during camping trips.

Nope. If you are running the rro over the top lift, then try to ad ome 927s/731s i doubt it will be driveable. I don't even think they will be able to connect the ubj to the knuckle because the uca will hit the arm before they can the ball joint stud into the knuckle.

Even if they got it all together, your cv's and driveshaft won't operate at those angles.

You do have an 2008 though so the stock shocks arent going to last much longer. I understand trying to get as much lift as possible but this much lift might screw up the CVs. A budget lift is just that, sometimes you get what you pay for. :2cents:

You're going to need more lift to run 32s the right way
You'll also need JBA UCAs if you're going over just the OME springs in front
and then there is the regear
and makes no difference if you are driving to the mall or off roading you still want your KK to handle and ride well don't you?

The full jba lift drives great on the road and off.

Okay I might have misunderstood them. At the end of the day we installed the OME suspension lift alone and it's slightly lower than that budget lift with the stock suspension but they managed to make it work without tire clearance issues.

Holy crap what a handling difference! Just on the ride home, it felt like a jeep now and not some squishy suv :-)

Thanks for all the input here... I will post some pics soon.
