I'm only concerned that there may be some metal on metal contact somewhere toward the bottom of the engine (where the sound emanates from).
You could save a sample of your engine oil the next time you do an oil change, and then send it out to get it analyzed. They could tell you if you have above normal concentrations of metal in your engine oil, indicating premature wear. Because different engine parts are made of different alloys, they could probably even help you narrow it down if there's a problem. This company:
http://www.blackstone-labs.com/ saved my 4.0 engine in my Jeep Cherokee XJ because they identified a cracked head that was allowing coolant to slowly mix with my oil. I couldn't figure out on my own where my coolant was going, and it turned out to be an internal leak. If they hadn't identified the problem, I would have destroyed my engine bearings and need a new engine. As it was, I got a new cylinder head. Expensive, but not as much as if I had waited. Hopefully you have no real problems with your 3.7, but the test results might give you peace of mind. It's pretty inexpensive to do the test.
Hope this helps.
