Hey guys

Back again with another question. I am pretty much being given a set of four Black Rock 15"x7" wide 5x4.5 bolt pattern wheels with 4.25 Backspacing. I think they are a 0 offset, couldn't find anywhere that said for sure. Has anyone run these wheels and if so how did they fit with a 31 or 30 inch tire? I know this question has probably already been answered...sorry.

Thanks again

Have you tried putting one on to see if clears the brake calipers?

they wont work... it's too close to the calipers to be comfortable

Yet again, you guys rock!
I'll see if I can swap them for 16"s...what offset is good for a wider stance? I understand that I may have to mod the inner fenders for this.

Thanks!!!

Stay close to stock specs on wheels unless you are lifted
or want to start hacking

Oh I will have about 2.5 inches of lift before I change out the wheels and tires, so no worries there.

I put a 15x10 with 3.75" backspacing on. They fit but it's close to the caliper and not to mention the 33x12.5 was way to big to try and drive

Do you think they would work with more backspace? 15" tires are way less expensive than 16" and there are more sizes available. Did it rub the caliper?

15x7 with 4" back spacing should still fit but idk what tires you could rub without rubbing a lot.

Nothing drastic, probably 31x10 or something in that neighborhood. Not very familar with flotation sizes but those are about the dimensions of my 245/75-16's.

For the sake of the thread, I have an update on 15" rims for the KK. After several trips to Summit Racing to try out different rims, the best option would be Pro Comp Rock Crawler 15"x7" 5x4.5" 3 3/4" backspace. These fit with no issues at all. A 4" backspace might work, maybe but I couldn't find one. Also, all of the 8" wide rims I tried rubbed. It's not the brake caliper that's the problem but the threads of the lower ball joint. It looked like if you really wanted to, the last couple threads could be ground off but I wasn't that determined to start removing metal.
As far as tires go, the smallest I would consider is 31x10.5x15. You'd most likely have to remove some of the plastic between the "bumper" and the tire but if you have a steel bumper then it shouldn't be an issue.
I'll post an update after I try on a tire to check for fit.
