Alright. Something has been bugging me and I decided to see what you guys have done to solve it. When I open up the center console arm rest it over extends and the plastic parts around the hinge stress. I doubt that supposed to happen. Only idea I've come up with it to put a piece of heavy duty fishing wire between the top and bottom screws on the hinge to prevent it from opening all the way. Kinda like the straps they use in a cooler. Who else had this problem. |

I understand what you are mentioning. I too have thought of adding something to give support, to keep the console arm rest from breaking. A plastic strap like you mentioned used on a cooler would work. Thats on my list of things to do. |

Did it tonight, about a two inch piece of 100 lb fishing line crimped between the screws on both sides holds it nicely |

4 years and 75k miles and I've never had a problem with mine breaking. |
