WELCOME TO LOST!!!!! First of all, the reason for no one running the Rustys coils is that they are the same as stock (310 lb spring rate) compared to OME 927s at 400 lb which translates that Rustys will sag in no time at all. Out of over 20 lifts only did one with Rustys springs and that was under protest So I'm Sorry Also a Frankenlift has spacers in them, not just a top plate and clevis. So what you have is a typical lift since thats what most use, OME springs / 1/4 inch top plate and 3/8 inch clevis or we do on KJs Not busting your chomps just making sure everyone knows the pros and cons and what you have Yes Rustys top plates are junk, haven't been drilled right since day one and people keep buying them ![]() But congrats on the lift and doing it yourself ![]() |

I hear ya man. I got brainwashed so to say to get the Rusty's because a lot of my friends with xj's, jk's and tj's who run Rusty's lifts love them and their springs have sagged only about a 1/4" since install, and some of them have had them on for years, so they kind of sold me on the quality side. But i do know of the bad side of what people have said about them. Well hopefully they will hold out for a while, and when they get bad Ill have an excuse to wrench it again ![]() |

I came across these tires ![]() A company called Greenball makes these, they are called the Kanati Mud Hog. They just came out and a local tire shop has a bunch in stock, really cheap in the 245/75/16 size. A popular size which most people here run so i'm going to give them a try. He quoted me $550 out the door for all 4. Want to go bigger but 265/75/16 would be the biggest I think you could go before major trimming and re-gear. Ill post pictures once they get on. |

That will look really good with some aggresive rubber on it. Oh, not struts either, these things have shocks all the way around. Sorry, just a big debate that goes on constantly. |

More of a constant ribbing I think. I hope everyone knows by now that they're coil over shocks lol. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I saw a set of those on an FJ Cruiser, very sharp. |
