Hey yall,

I was commuting to work today and finally took the 2 minutes to hook up my iPhone to the bluetooth system in my KK. I decided to get fancy, too, and use the bluetooth to stream music to my radio.

While I used it, though, there was an extreme amount of distortion and "noise" coming through the speakers. I am 100% sure that it's not the speakers, though, because I hooked the aux jack straight into my phone right after and it was all fine.

Just curious if anyone here had that same problem or if someone knows a solution/can identify the problem.

Thanks

JJ

There's a Bluetooth update that came out last summer that supposedly addressed the issue. I think officially it was only for 1 particular radio (don't recall which), but you can find it online if the dealer won't update it.

Thanks, I'll have to look for it.

My jeep is almost brand new (got it in March) so I figured it would be updated. I'll have to call the dealer about it though and maybe look it up online

I had the same issue with my 08 MyGig radio and now on my 11 MyGig radio. The bluetooth streaming never works! Just use the AUX plug.
I tried bluetooth streaming with a BlackBerry, Droid and iPhone and it didn't work good with any phone.

I've had that problem as well, tried out 2 of my buddies' phones and it never seemed to work right.

I wish Jeep offered an option for an iPod jack in the car (not the aux jack, but the connecter to the bottom of the iPod and iPhone) but what are you gonna do. Thats why they make aftermarket head units

thanks! i've been looking for something like that for a while, can't believe i haven't stumbled onto it yet. i'm probably gonna go that route, seems like an easier route than getting an aftermarket head unit :SOMBRERO:
