I went down to jeep and they told me 150 if they could even do it at all. I laughed and walked out. Gm did it for me in the past for free with other vehicles but that's another story. Anyone know where else this can be done? |

You need a Starscan and for what they cost $150 is pretty reasonable. |

It's the Chrysler factory scan tool. You can buy but about $4500 so finding a indepentant shop that has one will be pretty slim. |

I remember reading somewhere that a Hypertech tuner can adjust the speedo. Here's a thread with some info on the Hypertech Tuner (though the one in the post was sold): http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=69906 |

If you walk into the dealer just to have them calibrate the speedometer, thryre going to charge the shop rate. I had them do mine in conjunction with an oil change/scheduled service. The mechanic had to access the computer anyway, I just asked for him to recalibrate it while he was in there. Didn't cost a dime over what it would've cost for the service.
