Has any one changed the front crankshaft oil seal on a KK. or do you know where I can get a maintenance manual for my libby? |

Not hard,just need the Chrysler specific harmonic balancer puller kit is all.All easy access after pulling the fan shroud for the KK's. |

Here ya go. Hope this helps. It's for the 2008 KK . STEPS TO REMOVE THE CRANKSHAFT FRONT OIL SEAL 1. Disconnect the battery. 2. Remove the accessory drive belt. 3. Remove A/C compressor mounting fasteners. 4. Drain the cooling system. 5. Remove the upper radiator hose. 6. Disconnect electrical connector for fan mounted inside radiator shroud. 7. Remove radiator shroud attaching fasteners. 8. Remove radiator cooling fan shroud. 9. Remove crankshaft damper bolt. 10. Remove damper using (the crankshaft insert 8513A and) a 3 jaw puller. 11. Using a seal remover, remove the crankshaft front seal. STEPS TO INSTALL THE CRANKSHAFT FRONT OIL SEAL 1. Install the crankshaft front seal (using the seal installer tool 8348 and damper installer 8512A) 2. Install vibration damper. 3. Install radiator cooling fan and shroud. 4. Install upper radiator hose. 5. Install A/C compressor and tighten fasteners to 54N•m (40ft.lbs). 6. Install accessory drive belt. 7. Refill cooling system. 8.connect battery. |
