The front end sheet metal is the same for kk/kj. Problem is the plastic is way different, so it might not look the way it was designed to and you might have to cut a lot of your bumper.
Question is, why would you want that thing when there is a real bumper available?

Less weight up front but if a lot of the bumper needs to be trimmed then I'd rather go the full bumper and hd springs

I have one sitting here waiting to try
I had it to try and see how it worked on the 05-07 KJs
and was hoping to try it next on a KK
Will let you know as soon as I do.
I think it would work all except the receiver part
but not 100% sure

I didnt know he actually went out and finally made it!! i remember him putting the card board pieces together and talking about doing the metal prototype version, but havent been paying attention enough to the forum's to keep up on the progress. Good work Atthehelm!! Sooner or later i will be putting one of these on the Jeep. Need to get thru a wedding and get the OME lift first....darn priorities.

well that looks like a TMJ(?) bumper! It seems to be on a right hand drive and a "Cherokee", so I'm thinking overseas?

I am ready to make more, just nobody seems to actually want to buy them and wait for me to make them one. I'm picking up some more steel tomorrow, there will probably be a front and rear bumper ready to buy in a couple of months if anyone is interested.

Seems kinda backwards though, a low hanging bumper on top of a bumper? What?

if it is the company or a new one like TMJ or TJM they made aluminum bumpers light but strong. It looks big and low but I'm not sure it is. If it is it might be for a roo catcher ;).
Oh wait TMJ is what I have in my jaw. So it's TJM?

That big tube bumper looks like it would just seriously kill the approach angle more then the stock one would

No don't think so
if you look at the side profile its higher than the bottom of the flares
would be much better than stock bumper
PLUS the Aussies make bumpers to last against most anything, not lightweight ones that some US manufacturers come up with. They're made for rocks/animals everything.

True, but i like the slimmer profile of what Helm and mtnluvr designed. That just seems bulky and like it would absolutely kill what little aerodynamics( :-)r ) the KK has. Plus all that bloody chrome is blinding.

I'd have to agree, it really doesn't matter how well it's made, it just covers the stock bumper adding more bulk in an area that really needs to be trimmed. If you look closely, you'll see that the stock bumper is still on there, look under the turn signal. It looks like it's just a great big chrome cover kinda like what goes over the door handles. Plus it most likely bolts to where the tow hooks go.

I just sent them an email asking if they made a high clearance winch bumper for the KK. I also asked for a PDF of the directions to see if it might be converted to one.

Chrome :ROTFL:
try polished aluminum
Plus its made that way for a reason
Like I said Aussies know how to build strong bumpers
some I've seen so far are like TJ bumpers, worthless

I agree, they do make great bumpers I just think this one has an odd look as far as the mounts go.
