I completed this task, so I wanted to share.

Problem: Cruise control very intermittently working. Turning on OR engaging may or may not work. Usually once it didn't work, it usually didn't work again until the car was turned off and back on.

Fix: Cruise control stick (not built into steering wheel) replaced (first time replaced under warrantee, this time by me).

Part: 4671929AC
Prior part numbers: 4671929AA and 4671929AB
Picture of part: Search at http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,carcode,1502379,parttype,4320,d,2012_RAM_3500_6.7L_L6_DIESEL_Turbocharged_Cruise_Control_Switch.html

Steps (30 min estimate):
1. Disconnect battery
2. Remove Air Bag (three clips)
(no need to remove any steering column pannels)
(no need to disconnect air bag wires, just let it sit on the sterring wheel)

3. Remove three screws on old stick
4. Disconnect wire
5. Remove old stick
6. Insert new stick
7. Connect Wire
8. Insert three screws
9. Insert air bag (snap in three clips)
10. Reconnect battery
11. Reconfigure radio stations, etc.

So I've had mine replaced twice now with the same issues, and the darn thing is doing it again (08 KK). Is there a TSB out on this that I missed or something? Its beginning to become a pain in my arse...

Oh and apparently the windshield washer was queued up too and got stuck on while driving down the interstate (talk about awkward moment). Really not a fan, and almost considered trading the KK in for something a bit more reliable at this point.

This might be in my future at some point. I've had occasional issues with my cruise, but so far not enough that I've done anything about it.
