i wanted the clear side markers, but also wanted to keep the actual lights… so i did just that. 1) remove side marker from jeep. pop out 3 black plastic holders inside fender. ![]() 2) remove 11mm holder nut & light wire plug from housing. ![]() 3) remove amber plastic from back reflective light housing, i used a razor knife and sharp wood chisel carefully to not break or crack the plastic. ![]() 4) clean/scrape excess glue from plastic. ![]() 5) remove clear plastic from back reflective plastic [same procedure]. ![]() 6) apply super glue bead and press clear plastic to reflective back plastic with light mount. ![]() 7) replace clear light bulbs with amber ones. ![]() 8 ) install. ![]()

I was thinking of doing the same thing!! You beat me to it, plus ill have mine in another day or so and I'll have my jeep back by the end of the week.... Nice write up too and now after seeing it done, believe it or not I might not do it now. Not to crazy of the half lit. My only thing I would do different is put a hyper white bulb In there, hate amber. Main question is, what did you use to seal it back up? |

Thanks again for the write-up. Razor knife and sharp wood chisel worked great. I wasn't confident with super glue though. I used LOCTITE Stik'n Seal Extreme Conditions (Water, UV, vibration & impact resistant). ![]() Also, I left the white light (though it does look kinda amber in the cell phone pic). I'm not sure about NC laws and side marker color but I doubt I'll fail an inspection or ever get a ticket for it. ![]()

To clarify, a minute or two to get out and reinstall but cutting and removing the glue takes some time. Start with the clears, get them apart and cleaned up first. |

But yeah, ebay seller stole those pics. I'm not feeling like the ebay police today but wrong36 could get the auction pulled, or at least the pictures removed, if he reported it. |
