I just installed the rock krawler lift in my 2011 KK, when I make right turns at slow speeds I'm hearing a banging noise coming from the back. I still have the stock rear shocks. Does anybody have any ideas on what it could be.

I think you sort of answered your own question
You have the stock shocks yet
they are more than likely topping out, install the correct length shocks
Or you didn't tighten something up when you did the install
but still need longer rear shocks

I'll bet you didn't tighten the shock bolts all the way. The stock shocks will top out, but over bigger bumps and it will be loud.

What did you end up finding out about the knock? I just ordered the RK lift for my '12 Liberty, and am on my way to pick up the Skyjacker H7071 longer rear shocks so I have them when the lift gets here. Did you run into any problems during installation?

Why do people keep getting these POS lifts :?:
Sorry to be blunt,
but can't understand why someone thinks its OK to spend over 470 on a mediocre lift when for 250-300 more they could have an excellent riding KK with better handling , better control etc and last 25 times longer at least
That really confuses me
I hate to see people waste good hard earned money I guess

I bought mine for about $350, which is about half the cost of an OME lift at the moment and not the $470 you quoted. While I agree with you that the OME is the way to go, some folks (myself included) are/were on a budget. When time and money allow, I plan to upgrade.

As for the OP's question, I like my RK lift for what it is. It does ride a bit harsh, but it does what I bought it for and works fine for my present needs.

I don't know anyone who is not on a budget.
But you save up for what you want instead of settling for second best.
Took me 2 and a half months to save for my first lift on the KJ,
but knew I wanted a good ride, something that would last and I wouldn't have to redo soon after
Installed the OME and 100,000 miles later upgraded it
So it paid for itself. I've ridden in a couple of spacer lifted KJs and after 5 miles wanted to walk home.
Sorry still just don't understand buying something that you know is second best and will have to upgrade later. A lift is not something you just have to do tomorrow

People are gonna do what they want to do sometimes despite the advice they are given for whatever reason. You can give them an infinite amount of reasons to do one thing, but at the end of the day its up to them choose.

I remember when i first got the KK in 09 and there wasnt anything out there except for daystar and the rockfather lifts and i was going to pull the trigger on the rockfather until i read up on what you and a few others had said about it and i decided to wait until the market provided something better (OME). Still havent gotten them because because im saving for a wedding, but that is by far the best bang for the buck when it comes to lifts for the KK for those looking for the 2-3 inch range lift.

Can't save everybody unfortunately.

That's all fine and dandy but your going to spend twice as much doing it that way, kinda defeating the whole budget thing.

Took me about 2.5 years to collect the parts to do my latest lift, then still blew the "budget" doing the fab work and all the small things but it had to be done eitherway.Only updated the lift due to finding the extreme limits of what a IFS KJ could do and wanted to go farther. My old lift provided me with 3.75" of lift through '04-'09 and never sagged more then a 1/4" after adding 1500lbs to my KJ,rode like a dream and handled very well.Heck I had to rock 2wd only for those 2 some years also.
