Well after 4000 my computer dumped most of it software, 8000 tow haul switch stopped working transmission went out at 11,000 and now it appears at 16,000 my rear main seal is leaking. I have deemed my 2011 Liberty to be the worst car I've owned. Does any one think this could constitute a buy back from jeep. This really bums me out, I really like my renegade. Trading it in at this point is a $10,000 loss and will no put me into a comparable/capable 4x4. if any one has experience with this type of situation chime in.

That's horrible! My '11 Renegade hasn't given me any problems accept for the AC blower which went out, but that was covered in the warranty and didn't cost me a dime. I would check with your states Lemon law act. They should be able to work with you.

Check your states lemon laws.In most cases it must be in the shop for the same issue 3 times and still un-resolved,some also state that it must be in the shop for this # of days out of this # of days of ownership. Most have mileage and time limits also which are normally 12 months or 12,000 miles which ever comes 1st.

If you're in Ohio, it has to go back three times or more for the same thing within 15000 or 18000 miles (not sure which). There are lawyers that specialize in lemon law suits. I highly recommend that you contact one of these guys as they can get you the most from the suit. It doesn't always result in a buyback, sometimes you will get compensation. It just depends what the issue is. I'm not allowed to discuss the details but I can say that the system works and it's not as difficult as you might think. By the way, the lawyer only gets paid if you win.

Thanks for the input guys here in NC the Lemon Law states three times for same issue. Love the jeep just a little frustrated had a Chevy Cavalier with 90,000 with no problems and a Scion Xb with over 100,000 with no problems. So to have this all happen wit in 16,000 is a little of a shock. Thanks again I'll see what the dealership can do for me.
