You'll be ok without them as long as you don't do any clevis lift or top plates. If they are on the way then i'd wait and install everything at the same time. |

I did the A-Arms. Just went to the dealer today to inspect the thunking noise I've been getting since I put the lift on. Got JBA's OME 1.5inch lift (really is 3) w/A-Arms. Someone recommended to loosen then retighten the torsion bar (I've been calling the sway bar ) to specs. Tried to get some input from JBA but they have kinda left me high and dry. Dealer said if this didn't fix it, next was to replace the sway bar bushings, or right control arm lwr (seems that's where the sound is coming from as per the tech), or the most costly issue, the steering rack. They said they have seen more then they should KK's at 70k+ miles where the gears inside the rack are wearing out due to bigger tires and just premature wear and tear? I just looked at the tech with that glazed over look and just stuck to my rehearsed line, "but it didn't do this till after the lift was installed".. hoping they would figure it out. So, 30 bucks later and 3 hours of my life I will never get back, I'm driving it and it's not made any sounds since the loosen/tighten assault. Bottom line, the dealer says the lift kit didn't do anything to it in order to make the noise and JBA won't return my calls (emails).. Good luck if you have problems.

Been about a week and I've put the KK through some paces (tight turns, bumps, etc) and have not had any issues since. I hope what was done fixed it. Now I can focus on if I want to or what kind of limited slip or lockers I want for it. Then I'm DONE adding to it.... well, maybe moving to 17's and bit taller tire but for now, I think it needs a rest.
