pretty straight forward install -- today I went back and verified the wires (there's only 2+ground) are in the correct places and still no-go (no the high beams are not on-I know they won't work if the high beams are on).

I did take it to the dealer to enable them -- but I'm thinking of trying another dealer to verify they were actually enabled properly.

anyone else have issues????

thanks in advance for any help!

I hope you have some luck getting it figured out. Good luck!!

you are correct!!! I will check that out - thanks! I used the left diagram -- will have a 3RD look tonite , I hope I can pull the wires out of the connector...any hints for doing that? Is there a way to release? cuz they seem pretty locked in.

Just a silly but the high beams need to be off for them to work, correct? Before you start pulling your hair out check the obvious. Sometimes it can be that simple. I am hoping for your success because this will be on the Get Done list if it does.

crap --- see if my assessment in red is correct....if it is, the diagrams are correct.

it appears the diagram on the right is looking at the socket from the bottom for some f'd up reason! How does this help with the install....just confuses people!!?!?!?

I think your assessment is right.

IIRC, when this was an option on 08 KK's, it had to be taken to the dealer for final programing as they had to turn that option on in the BCM with their starscan scan tool.

right, I did so - I mentioned it briefly in the first post....I might try another dealer to verify it was actually done before I start trying to re-wire things.

I re-checked...this is a pic of my plug....THOUGHTS??????

one more update --- just to see if the bulbs worked I unplugged the wires and jumped a wire straight from the battery and yes, they both came on. I did check the fog light fuse as well (as indicated on the fuse box).

--- so now it's either:

1- the PINs are incorrect and its wired wrong (unlikely)
2- the stalk fog light switch is bad (a possibility but I'll try this last)
3- the dealer did not enable the fog lights or not properly <----hoping this is it!!!!!

Do you have to add a fuse to the fuse box? I don't remember if the fogs are are on their own or not

I checked the fuse box location for FOG LIGHTS, M2 if remember correctly (couple of other things on the same fuse) and the fuse was there and good.

Where does one run the new wiring? I can't seem to follow the existing wires. Is it just a keep working at it type of thing or is there a better way/location to run this wiring? Should I dismantle much more from the front to get access? Help please. :dizzy:
