Do you know why? :banghead:

I know for turn signals there are two filaments. One for the light being constantly on and the other for the flash when the turn signal is on.

Someone could correct me on this but I would imagine you then have two filaments for low beams and high beams

Which bulbs to begin with???
More info needed as to what you are talking about
But can say that many bulbs serve as say running lights and turn signals so need two filaments
Headlights need two for low and high beam etc

the taillights have a white reverse light that i believe is only one filament another clear marker for ambers which would have 2 and the brake lights which have two (constant light while headlights are on and brighter for brakes)

I hope this answers your question

The Euro tail lights I have on my KK are the same way. 2 filaments on all the rear bulbs.
When I disassembled the euro "socket-back", I discovered that only 1 of the + connections for the bulb goes to the light. The other one does nothing and is not connected. See the connections on the right side of the socket, there are 4 metal tabs, 2 +(Positive) and 2 - (Negative) connections (running and brake). The next one over only has 2 connections, 1 + and 1 - (turn signal). Next one over also has 2 for the backup lamp, and the left also has 2 for the rear fog.

I believe they did this so you only need to buy one type of bulb to replace any one that is out.

Because of the design of the bulbs only the correct filament will light up no matter which way you install the bulb.

Pos + for bright filament (| |) Pos + for dim filament.
......................................Bulb.................................
....Neg - for dim filament (| |) Neg - for bright filament .
