got stock with the front install

can not separate the ball-joint from the knuckle, nut is removed, smacked the flat part of the knuckle with a hammer and still does not want to pop off.

i feel like if i use a ball joint separator may damage the boot. "not installing jba uca's at this time"

tips????

It'll go. Use a bigger hammer. 8)

Do you have a jack under your knuckle? If so, try lowering it some and then give it a good whack with a BFH. The compression force of the spring should help some

jack is under the knuckle but about an 1/2" apart so when it breaks look it will rest on the jack

i will try the hammer again if not maybe a pitman pulley will do the job

Reinstall the nut back up the ball joint a few threads, that will help in case you miss
Whack it a good hit, seen some who act like they are afraid to hit it
Only had a couple that took more than one whack to knock them loose
also like above make sure you have the jack under the LCA, just enough to hold it from dropping down
3 lb sledge works good, framing hammer not so good

Unlike my ex, your control arm and steering knuckle will not take you to court for hitting them too hard
