Post subject:  Front bumper tow hook?

Hey guys, i am new to this forum.
I just have a quick question that is up for discussion.
My Story:
I have a 2008 jeep liberty kk that is sadly only covered by PLPD insurance. On Halloween i was in a car accident in the rain. To make a long story short, i hit a hummer h3. All i hit was his trailer hitch at about 3 miles an hour. I didnt even touch the body of his car. Because of this i have a nice gap right in my front bumper.

Because of my insurance my bumper isn't covered and i gotta deal with this ugly gap.

However i have thought of 3 possible ways to work around it.
My plan(s):
So far i have thought of:
- front bumper license plate over it
- bumper sticker over it
- cutting the gap evenly and placing a tow hook inside the gap
The tow hook idea is what i am mainly pushing towards. Im thinking more of a racing tow hook instead of a utility tow hook.
Here are a few tow hook ideas i have in mind.

I just wanted to know what you guys had in mind and see if you have any more ideas with the tow hook or ways i can just cover up this ugly gap in general.
Thanks in advance, please enjoy this pictures of my car from the summer, pre-crash.

Easiest answer. Just cover it with a front license plate. The gap is exactly where my plate sits.you csn slso buy many different plate designs (sports etc.). My favorite answer is to replace the the bumper with Atthehelm's steel front bumper!
So I'm curious. What do they use racing tow hooks for?

http://www.car-part.com has 2008 KK front bumper covers from $125. Depending on the color and how close you are to one of their vendors, you might be able to replace it fairly cheaply.

On "real" race cars it is to tow them out to the starting line so they don't over heat/ burn up lots of fuel just motoring through the pits.
on tuners its all for show

I think a small " one Zombie killed here" decal is in order
or trim it some more and make it look like you have teeth and have one tooth missing :D

Thanks guys these are all really helping one way or another. I do like the sound of the license plate, however im feeling creative and i kind of want to rig up a tow hook some how. My jeep has more of a race-look to it, and it would definately be different from any other jeep. Keep sending me ideas!

Pieces of your bumper collected after the accident + epoxy = really cheap fix. Someone clipped my side view mirror while my KK was parked in front of my house, busting up the plastic mirror housing into about 6 pieces. I collected them off the street and epoxied them back together. That was 2 years ago and it is still holding together fine!
New Side Mirror: $120-$200
Tube of Epoxy: $6 :goink:

I wasnt able to recover the small piece of my bumper after the accident otherwise i would've tried to use epoxy immediately

Epoxy a thin piece of aluminum shaped to fit to the backside of it. Then fill in with epoxy, sand & paint.

Nice looking rig.
Get the Mopar push bar to cover it.

This is exactly what I did after my d-rings took a few chunks off mine. Just collected them, applied epoxy, sanded it smooth and painted the whole bumper to match. Can't even tell.
