Can anyone help with suggesting a performance chip for the KK that the stock cpu will not override in a couple of weeks, as I have been reading in several posts. Thanks |

The Hypertech Max Energy programmer works well for the '08-'10 KK's. The '11-'12 models are not supported yet. Search for Gageraid's posts about the Hypertech or PM him for more info. |

X2. The The Hypertech is all that will work as long as you have the years stated by lfhoward. You can save money by getting the Econo Hypertech, or splurge on the Max Energy which has some very minor adjustments you can make. Both kinds of Hypertech will produce 24 horsepower and 24 torque. Driveability is unbelievably better AND so much more fun. MPG gains are usually seen. http://www.hypertech.com/ |

So would you say that the econo helps with the Trans shift problems as good as the max energy model? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The only difference is with the Max Energy you can use a "premium" setting, but then you have to run premium fuel. I just use the regular setting which is the same tune as the Econ version. The Max Energy allows you to change when the engine cooling fans come on, rev limiter, compensate for different gear ratios, or bigger tires (which I don't think anyone has gotten to work properly yet). If I could go back, I'd probably just buy the Econ one. I still haven't tried the "premium" setting. One day... |

Thank you Guys, I might go with the Max energy model, just because the cooling fans cut in early, with High temperature in the Desert we need to keep the engine cool BEFORE it gets HOT. Plus one day I will probably go for slightly bigger tires. |

If it does work for you, that's great! You'll love the performance, especially if you've driven the stock programming for a while. |
