My advice is to find a shop that does nothing but diff and axle repair...

I first went to 4 Wheel Drive Hardware in Columbiana, Ohio. It turned out that the "gear specialist" there wasn't worth a hill of beans. He didn't set the pinion gears properly. After a couple trips trying to get them to fix the problem, I took it to 4 Wheel Parts in Parma, Ohio. Same company with a much better mechanic. He fixed the rear but he won't open the front to check it.
What I've learned,
Take it to a place that specializes in drive trains and get references, don't trust a nationwide company's reputation at face value. I've tried several times to get them to at least check the front diff. He'll drive it, put it on a rack and listed to it go but he refuses to drop the axle and open it up. I think I'm going to have to write the main office to make them open it of refund my money so I can pay for someone else to do it.
I guess the bottom line is take it to someone you trust, it's a very expensive project. It's also a good time to add a locker or something.
I do have to say though, the thing runs great with the new gears.
