Ok everyone I bought a brand new programmer for way too much. After going through the program for 07-10 jeep 3.7 I think it actually slowed me down. in no way shape or form is it any faster at half throttle nor is it holy s**t at full throttle as all the reports are stating. Can someone help me out did I do something wrong.

I plugged the programmer in to the computer and updated everything
plugged it into the jeep and let it do its thing
got successfully programmed on the screen
disconnected the programmer
started the jeep and went for a ride where i was extremely disappointed.

What gives everyone had suck wonderful things to say.

I'm a bone head. Left fuel type as stock. Will report back again in a few.

Well ran through it again. Now it won't shift out of second gear. Trying a third time. Then I'll set it back to stock and try a fresh program.

ok so I went through it a third time now it shifts right but I'm not really having any moments of "oh yeah theres the gain" I will have to try it out on the freeway but definitely not worth the money!

here are the settings I used
regular fuel
top speed zr-255
everything else is stock

most gains are barely noticeable. you have to be really in tune with your vehicle to sense the small changes. some people might be exaggerating a little bit so they dont feel like they wasted too much money...

For the record I dont have one for my KK but Ive had similar products on other vehicles.

Most gains will be so small you will never notice, more so for programmer that has to deal with CAN and non-CAN computer systems.

The most noticeable gains are at full throttle conditions around 40-60 mph it will pull much better than stock. Also, off idle it coasts better and the 1-2 shift is a bit cleaner in my opinion.
Is it expensive? Yes. Is my KK faster than stock? Yes.

You could substitute the word faster for smoother, better running, and less lazy.

I have Hypertech Max Energy installed in my 2008 KK. For State Inspection & Emission test do I have to put back the Stock mode ?

Nope. It will still pass. It's street legal.

Any noticeable mpg gains? It seems like an expensive investment just for a little bit of a smoother shift

Expensive? Yes.
The most noticeable mod for this engine that I'm aware of.
Been running it for two years and very pleased with it. More people would run it it were 100 bucks cheaper and if they made them for the newer KK's.

I was rly considering one because of the mileage gain. Obviously a little more power is welcome along with smoother shifting but with my current 16.5 mpg $330 is a lot cheaper for a +2-3 mpg than $1400 to upgrade my diffs to 4.1s or 4.5s for the same gain. Eventually tho :)

I have not checked the mpg gain as I have to drive on Rt. 287 in NJ. Also I tend to drive 75+ so it hurts the mileage. Here are somepoints I noticed :
1) Idling around 700-800 rpm
2) smooth shift from 1to 2nd gear
3) Between 55mph - 65 mph , it felt as if it is losing power and I had to stomp on the accelerator, now it is smooth upward move all the way upto 85 mph ( I have not tried to pass this due to noise and drag yet)

85-90mph is where the KK really starts to slow down. 90mph is the all I've had room for so far.

That was on stock tires, and I agree it gets a little questionable at high speeds lol.
I bet it would be better with these tires on. What's our limiter at? 114 or so?
