Hey all, lurking for a few years and learned a ton. Recently acquired a second KK (2010 Limited) for the household and after I brought her home noticed a slight but annoying brake pedal noise/feel. After it gets warmed up I hear a slight squeak when depressing the brake pedal. Its coming from inside the dash it seems but the slight feedback I'm getting from the pedal, a slight friction-like feel, tells me it's definitely from the booster area. Bought her "as is" and that even was a hassle with the hardcore negotiations. In either case, it's not going back and out of warranty so it will be DIY. I'm a long term shade tree so been looking all over for something "technical" to get me started on the repairs. Stealer says it was likely the booster but would have to "take it apart" (booster) to see what the issue was... yeah O.K. New booster runs $100 online so "taking it apart" to diagnose didn't seem right. If anyone has run into a similar issue I'd be extremely grateful if you could lend some advice.

TIA.

My 2008 does that sometimes too. I just spray some grease on the pivot between the pedal and the rod and it goes away for a bit. I think it's just another one of those quirks the KK has like the rear wiper and engine noise.

Ahh yes... the "disposable" rear wiper. Been through one of those on the SO's 2009 KK Limited. I'll try the lube trick. Hopefully that's all it is. If so, I can live with that... well once it's greased.

I had this happen on my 08 while it was still under warranty and took it in to annoy the dealership, the fix was just greasing the pivot points. Hasn't been back since.

2010 has a brake pedal llinkage recall J37. Has that been done yet? It's under the 2010 TSB section.
