I have seen long solo kayaks out there. Mine are 10.5 or less I'd like to see if it makes a difference. But for the Pine which is a cold river, and with this winter. Might want to wait and do mid summer. Have you ever checked out west Mi Kayak meet-up? I have ( not last year) met up and paddled with them nice group.

Where did you get that custom rack done? Is your roof still functional?
