Finally I am proud to introduce the new ATH KK roof rack. They bolt directly to the factory roof studs for a nice clean look, no need for crossbars. If you have a kk that came with those fake covers, this will work for you too. Just remove the plastic covers and clean up the threads on the roof studs. The rack ships in two pieces that bolt together with flanges in the middle via 3/8" grade 8 bolts. Doing it this way makes it possible to be shipped ups gound for A LOT less money. Installation is very simple, just bolt together on the ground and lift onto the roof with a buddy.
Everything is built heavy duty using 1.33" od tube for the side rails, 1.25"x 0.095" for the cross bars, and six 1" x 0.095" bars forming the floor. Weighs about 60 lbs. There is no comparing the durability of this rack vs name brand roof baskets that use thin wall tubing.
They will include four light tabs up front, two in the back, but I can add more tabs anywhere you want for things like ratchet strap hooks or a CB antenna. All hardware is included plus 'camper shell tape' to isolate the feet from the roof. As always ships bare steel ready for the coating of your choice.

Intro price is $325 plus shipping for the first three! I have one done and the other two will be ready in a few days. PM me for a shipping quote.

Morgan do you have cross bars I can't tell.

Also I promise you I will be ordering one of these. Pricing the same or more?

Thanks for your interest LKW
There will be six bars running from front to back joined to the bottom front and rear crossbars already shown. They will form the 'floor' of a basket. This one's a little different from my first rack that was flat and more of a platform.
Because of the extra work and material they'll be a little more than the first version. I still don't have a price set but the first three will be sold at a discounted price.

That looks amazing Morgan. It almost looks tall enough for the skyslider is that front lower bar wasn't in the way. If i weren't in China I would measure and have you check. Because I would definitely buy one

The floor is actually only going to be about 1/2-1" above the roof (floor isn't in yet on the pics)
China?

Once I get one fully built I was going to test it for wind noise. If its a problem then I'll include fairings on them.

The skyslider, at full height, requires about 4"-5" of clearance to clear any crossbars. Can't really tell from the pic but it doesn't look like there are any crossbars on that one.

Well, I would probably use my RRO rails that sit perpendicular to the side rails because I would mostly just use it for snowboard rack/kayak rack and LED light bar. And yeah, I've been in Shanghai since 4/23 for work. Can't wait to get home to my Jeep... and girlfriend I guess.

One thing that could be added that I wish mine had, another set of bars parallel to the side ones so that things could be mounted like a shovel and jack. Using available mounts.

That's a good idea. I would be able to add that easily upon request. That along with extra tabs and such.
