Hi everyone! I'm new to posting here, though I've lurked un-registered for years. I'm posting now in hopes that some of you can advise me on choosing replacement wheels for my stock 2012 Jet. We have reached a crossroads, the Jet and I -- either the wheels go, or the Jet goes, and I really love the Jet ;)

Keep in mind that I know less than NOTHING about going from larger wheels to smaller wheels (this is my 7th Jeep, and the very last one with a *bleep* set of 20s)! ELI5 advice is probably what I need, lol...

I've seen some of you mention 16 in. TJs -- is this a pretty simple switch? Anything special need to be done? I've actually found a tight set of 16s off a 2012 TJ for sale nearby. Just for fun, here's a picture:

Would these be a good fit? Just the wheels, lol, not the tires...

Thanks in advance!

Those wheels have the wrong bolt pattern, they are 5 on 5 where as Libertys are 5 on 4.5
So you'd need spacer etc
Just find a set of 16s from a KK or KJ that you like and be done, throw some 245-70-16 tires and you're good to go
16 inch ones from a TJ Rubicon are 8 inches wide and could cause issues with rubbing, sticking with 7 inch wide / stock backspacing works best

2012 is NOT a TJ its JK

Thanks so much! That was my typo on the TJ, but as I know nothing at all about wheels, that's the least of my worries, lol. So any of the 16s from a KK or KJ would be fine? I've been a little unclear about which 16s would fit, and so aggravated with the 20s that I've seriously considered getting rid of the Jet altogether. Only problem is, I can't find another 2012 Liberty of any stripe around here that is as low-mileage as mine, and I'm really sold on the Liberty.

Thanks again. I'll let you know what I find and decide :)

Any Liberty take offs will work. TJ 16s will, but as Tom said will probably rub unless you're lifted. If you really want you could probably find some 16" Cragar soft 8s for ~$70 a piece new.

On a side note, I've never seen those 16s on a JK before. Most here have the 17" JK Moabs, or 16" steelies.

I have a set of the stock wheels with almost new tires on them that I would trade plus cash. They do have the tire pressure sensors. Wheels are the silver and gray paint scheme.
